Today is the first day (Sunday) of Week 1, Michaelmas Term, in Oxford. Freshers went to the river for a taster of rowing in an VIII. Actually, they were tricked, as the taster took place in the afternoon, lovely warm Autumn afternoon, nothing to do with real training at 5am in the winter rain.
