Euroecho already finished, I could visit the Bargello and enjoy a day in Florence with Serena and Nadia. A happy reunion after 5 years! In fact, I saw Serena upon my arrival, and she was a wonderful guide these days. Nadia was on her way to Bologna and it was great that she joined us, carrying her luggage all around the city.
Saying that Florence is beautiful barely starts describing what you feel in this city. Guillermo told me about Stendhal syndrome, “a psychosomatic illness that causes rapid heartbeat, dizziness, confusion and even hallucinations when an individual is exposed to art, usually when the art is particularly ‘beautiful’”. Stendhal was the first famous person to feel and describe this phenomenon, and it happened in Florence.
